A Description of Weekly Worship Times
Morning Prayer
Tuesday through Friday at 9am in the Choir Chancel
You are invited to join the tradition of saying daily Morning Prayer from The Book of Common Prayer. We read from Scripture, recite canticles and spend time together in prayer. A good way to begin one's day, Morning Prayer runs about 15-20 minutes.

Contemplative Prayer and Practice
Tuesdays October through May at 5:30pm in the Chapter Room (downstairs)
This opportunity for contemplative prayer and practice begins with a brief teaching from the Church's rich tradition of prayer and with complementary readings from other faith traditions. The teaching is followed by 25 minutes of silent prayer. There is a time at the end for questions, shared insights and mutual encouragement.
Compline
Wednesdays at 9pm in Emmanuel Chapel
A small group gathers to close their day with a service of Compline from The Book of Common Prayer. This worship opportunity is calming, meditative and very prayerful.
Mision San Lucas on Saturday
5:30pm La Misa en espanol in Emmanuel Chapel
Celebrated by the Rev. Virginia Marie Rincon, this Eucharist nourishes the community of La Mision San Lucas, the Hispanic Ministry in the Diocese of Maine. Be ready to sing, perhaps play tomtoms and participate in a lively celebration each week.
Feast Days
12:10 in Emmanuel Chapel
The Cathedral celebrates "Red and White Letter Days," by holding a Eucharist at 12:10pm in Emmanuel Chapel. We celebrate the feast days of major saints and events in the life of Christ.
